| Herculaneum Community Centre Research project @ London Metropolitan University | Naples, Italy | 2010-2011 | GFA 6,000㎡ Conceived as a link between two city rooms of the ancient Roman town, once destroyed by volcanic pyroclastic flows from Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79, this community centre mediates the modern suburb of Naples and the older parts of the town. The building connects three different levels of Via Mare, the green house fields, and the archaelogical site. |
